About The Position
AsomBroso Tequila and Knucklenoggin Whiskey Brands is looking for a San Diego based Territory Sales Manager. This position directs all sales activities in support of the San Diego market. The ideal candidate will be based in San Diego Area. This position will be responsible for achieving agreed upon goals as it relates to shipments, depletions and accounts serviced, as well as achieving revenue and budget targets. Interacts with principles at Distributors in assigned geography; responsible for delivering depletion, distribution and merchandising goals, covering both on and off premise channels. Identifies business opportunities and pinpoints problem areas. Responsible for making key account calls and developing relationships with key decision makers in both on and off premise.
Objective: To ensure the successful sale and distribution of our craft spirits throughout the assigned territory. This individual will be responsible for developing new business along with maintaining an existing account list.
Essential Responsibilities
- Responsible for growing depletions, distribution and merchandising goals on/off premise for all California Tequila, Inc. brands in this market
- Establish goals and programs with distributor
- Work hand-in-hand with distributor managers and salespeople to achieve all goals
- Follow-up on the execution by the distributor, insuring that all expectations are achieved
- Conduct market work-withs to establish a strong and enduring AsomBroso Tequila and Knucklenoggin Whiskey presence with both the distributor and accounts
- Manage all aspects of pricing, budgeting and forecasting
- Develop and cultivate key relationships in the San Diego market with Chain, On and Off Premise Accounts: Develop and maintain a key account list; actively work the list, moving Points of Distribution and depletions forward in the market
- Responsible for samples and use of POS in market area per allocated budget
- Conduct regular meetings with distributor sales team, including general sales meetings and individual team meetings in person and/or virtual to ensure alignment of goals and product knowledge of California Tequila brands
- Work trade and consumer events, to help move the brand forward in the market (frequently done in the evenings and/or weekends)

- Must reside in the San Diego market

- Ability to make a strong business case without “over-selling”

- Demonstrates a commitment to doing it “the right way” with a high level of attention to detail and high personal standards of performance
- Progressive sales experience in the wine and spirits beverage industry
- The position requires the use of a personal motor vehicle and a valid driver's license
- Ability to travel
- Proficient with MS Office
- Requires minimum 3-5 years sales and/or management experience in the Beverage Alcohol Industry
