About The Position
Bittermilk cocktail mixers is looking for full time bottling technicians. Bittermilk manufacturing plant is located in North Charleston, SC where we make, package and ship a variety of cocktail mixers and other components. Previous manufacturing or food and beverage production experience is not required although is helpful in understanding the tasks involved in this position. Job consists of prepping, working on a bottling line, cleaning and quality control. Owners MariElena and Joe Raya are graduates of The Culinary Institute of America and previously owned a cocktail bar called The Gin Joint in Charleston. All of our production is done in house and we use many culinary techniques such as steeping charring, smoking, etc on our raw ingredients to ensure a high quality final product. We follow specific formulas while hot filling our products before entering the pasteurizing phase. We age our syrups in Willett barrels as well as private labelling some items for companies like Pappy & Co and St. Augustine Distillery while using their barrels. Although our products are non-alcoholic, we encompass the same techniques that breweries use and we look forward to offering alcoholic products to our consumers in 2022. Currently, we partner with retailers such as Total Wine, Williams-Sonoma, Harris Teeter, Sur La Table just to name a few.
