About Emmy’s Organics LLC:

Emmy’s Organics was founded in a home kitchen in 2009 by couple Ian and Samantha. Ian’s dietary restrictions kept him from having anything that would be considered a “treat,” so he took matters into his own hands and developed a healthier cookie made from coconut, almond flour, and coconut oil. He taught Samantha the delicious cookie recipe, and the two realized that there was nothing like it available in stores. Together they decided to start what is now Emmy’s Organics. The name Emmy's is a nod to Ian's mom – in whose kitchen the adventure began! Emmy’s Organics has grown from selling at the local farmers market to thousands of stores across the country including Starbucks, Walmart, Whole Foods Market, Wegmans, CVS, Sprouts, Safeway, Independent Co-ops and more. The company founders are passionate about two ideas: the use of premium quality ingredients to make simple, organic, indulgent treats and the sustainable stewardship of Emmy’s Organics as a corporation. All Emmy’s Organics products are certified organic, gluten-free, vegan and non-GMO. Emmy’s Organics is a certified B-Corp headquartered in Ithaca, NY. 
Emmy’s was acquired by Bimbo Bakeries USA in May 2021. We are very excited for this transition and need someone to join our small team within a global brand!


Strategically manage accounts by utilizing category and retailer data to identify trends, market gaps and opportunities. Grow the brand in alignment with the Emmy’s business plan by executing effective merchandising, assortment, pricing and promotions.

Develop and grow high-level relationships with key customers in all channels. 

Identify and manage brokers and distributors who collaborate to optimize the business. Establish KPI’s and develop a broker scorecard to ensure execution of channel and customer goals.

Collaborate with executive team members to build an annual business plan with clear objectives. Track progress vs plan and recommend course corrections as needed.

Direct and monitor trade spending by creating efficient and effective promotions that align with the annual budget, conducting post-promotion analysis and making adjustments as needed to deliver net sales targets.

Attend customer meetings, trade shows, and broker meetings - must have ability to travel up to 50% of the time.

Hire and manage qualified regional sales representatives as needed.

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Sales/Marketing/Business degree preferred 
  • 7-10+ years of sales experience in natural and conventional channels with proven success record. Prior experience in Director level role preferred though not required. Preference for candidate with background in both large CPG brand and small, challenger brand.
·         Insights-driven sales approach with expertise in data tools including SPINS, IRI, Nielsen and retailer and distributor portals. 

·         Ability to work from home office with convenient access to major airport.

·         Flexibility to travel up to 50% of the time with minimum quarterly visits to the Ithaca, NY company HQ.

·         Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Excel, PPT and Word.
