About The Position
JOB DESCRIPTION: (Chicago Based)(Travel 30% of the time)(Full Time)
The National Sales Manager will build and maintain a high performance sales organization to effectively achieve business objectives. The role will contribute to the development and implementation of our strategic plan.  The National Sales Manager will manage and hold accountable a strong team, provide coaching, training, and appropriate development opportunities for direct reports.  This individual is also on the team that manages supplier expectations and inside sales.
 
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 
●      Communicate with their sales force to assist, manage, and coordinate marketing programs and sales actions to achieve sales objectives for both inside sales and outside sales.
●      Program and carry out effectively sales calls individually, monthly calls, and supplier calls.
●      Connect with the brands and network to coordinate and execute a broad range of activities such as product training and presentations, account calls, tastings, promotions, and events.
●      Connect with the on and off premise trade to organize and manage promotions and sales.
●      Work with leadership to execute and monitor effectively designed programs creating efficiencies, growth in sales, in profits and cost performance.
●      Obtain results by effectively utilizing resources and budget provided
●      Monthly calls with suppliers to share results, obstacles, wins and opportunities.

 
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
●      College degree or similar and or 8 to 10 year’s experience in the spirits and or wine industry
●      A working knowledge of the beverage industry 
●      A fluent knowledge of MS Office applications
●      Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills to relate cross-functionally in a fast-paced business environment
●      Strong communication ethic in getting back to customers, suppliers, and internal company personnel
●      Strong understanding of event planning needs
●      Ability to act strategically and tactically in the performance of the job
●      Facilitate knowledge and process sharing across the organization
●      Support the company’s owners with needed information regarding the state of the business to facilitate decision making
●      Experience dealing with and creating influence and the authority needed internally and externally to succeed in this position
●      A sense of positive urgency in executing everyday responsibilities

-       Salary is tied to experience and equal or greater than the national average for similar role.
