Description
Beechwood Sales & Service, an Anheuser-Busch and craft beer distributor located in New Berlin, WI has an excellent full-time opportunity as a Spirits Manager and Business Development with statewide responsibility. This individual will be responsible for the development of the Company's Spirits business throughout the Beechwood (statewide) territory. This individual will also ensure the continued growth of sales and distribution by working directly with retailers, suppliers, and Beechwood sales staff. This position is a hands-on role that will provide you valuable knowledge and experience in the beverage and distribution industry. We are looking for an energetic individual with a strong work ethic and a strong sense of responsibility to join and contribute to our team.

Expectation is that 60-80% of time (3-4 days per week) will be spent in the retail market.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
  • Maintain effective customer relations and promote the goodwill of the company
  • Ensure Spirits sales performance achieves volume, gross profit, and revenue objectives
  • Manage Spirits SKU's, including product selections (additions and deletions), pricing, and profit margins
  • Educate and inform Sales staff on all aspects of the Spirits portfolio
  • Manage supplier relations as they relate to the Spirits portfolio
  • Recruit and evaluate new suppliers and products to add to the Beechwood brand portfolio
  • Identify sales opportunities and facilitate product placements in key accounts
  • Develop new accounts and new placements for Spirits
  • Assist in forecasting sales and ordering products
  • Prepare monthly sales objectives and plan of action related to business activities
  • Maintain awareness of industry and respond to new developments
  • Work directly with sales staff to ensure the successful sale and placement of all Spirits products
  • Conduct monthly control and review sessions with management
  • Execute monthly goals related to business activities as assigned by management
  • Implement and execute the marketing strategies of the Company
  • Coordinate communication between departments and within department
  • Special projects as assigned
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
  • 5 + years of direct experience in the beverage industry, specifically Wine and Spirits
  • Knowledge of legal requirements regarding the sale and delivery of alcoholic beverages
  • Excellent managerial, communication, and leadership capabilities
  • Strong decision-making ability
  • Exceptional judgement
  • Valid driver’s license
