Senior Manager, Visitor Experience & Engagement

This leadership role will provide important input in shaping the vision for the Maker's Mark homeplace, whilst being responsible for the overall management of the guest experience. This individual will the work to develop best in class, high quality, engaging experiences, as well VIP programming that delivers a world class hospitality for our guests.

Role Responsibilities

Position Responsibilities:
  • Work with Home Place Manager on development, implementation, and execution of visitor experience master plan
  • Responsible for the strategic direction of onsite retail, including all merchandise and whisky experience
  • Responsible for the creation and development of consumer engagement programs and experiences
  • Responsible for the develop and execute plan for excellence in customer experience and hospitality
  • Responsible for the develop and implement programs that build awareness of the Maker's Mark homeplace
  • Work with agency partners to develop marketing & PR plans
  • Accountable for scheduling of all staff to ensure adequate coverage for daily experiences onsite
  • Responsible for delivery of the annual Visitor Center Budget
  • Accountable for the development and management of the onsite Ambassador program/Experience
  • Develop future staffing plan
  • Develop training program for onsite hospitality team
  • Assess team through evaluations bi-annually
  • Accountable for the management, development, of the bourbon specialist team
  • Accountable for implementing HR decisions
  • Accountable for the hiring, onboarding, and training of bourbon specialist team

Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years experience
  • Prior supervisory and / or management experience
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of an org
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time
  • Ability to project a professional image
  • Prior tourism experience
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills
  • Requires Experience dealing with VIP guests
  • Record of successful leadership
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Prior business background
  • Excellent interaction with the public
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks at one time
  • Comfortable speaking in front of large groups
  • Self-starter, innovative, visionary
  • Excellent communication skills, including ability to interact with all levels of the organization
  • Team oriented
  • Works well independently and with little supervision
  • General office equipment knowledge
  • Computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office (particularly Excel & power Point)
