About the role

Your Opportunity

The Inventory Planner role is located in Vancouver, BC and is responsible for supporting the consistent delivery of Bacardi product within the Western Region by managing customer inventory. The successful candidate will establish and continuously improve business relationships with customers, and manage appropriate communications and expectations with appropriate internal stakeholders. This position will collaborate with key contacts to proactively drive efficiencies in the supply chain, and also help support a drive for continuous improvements in business processes and ensure appropriate alignment with cross functional teams.

About You

As an ideal candidate you will provide critical thinking, sound analysis and appropriate decision making to support end to end inventory management. You will apply sound root-cause problem solving skills in the pursuit of solutions that address the core drivers of the issues. You also have a strong ability to clearly summarize recommendations for management and present them in a clear and concise manner.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the planning, management and review of customer inventory
  • Creation of the shipment report
  • Enter customer orders and communicate changes to purchase orders
  • Engage the customers on potential gaps in inventory and mitigate gaps in supply and overstocks.
  • Maintain, monitor, and influence the results of relevant key performance indicators across service, cost, cash and quality
  • Manage cost impact of trade-off recommendations across cost, service, cash and quality to arrive at the most appropriate solution for the business
  • Drive the on-going development and refinement of processes and metrics to ensure continuous improvements and efficiencies in service, cost, cash and quality
  • Proactively address and communicate issues that might impact inventory levels
  • Actively manage and support new product Introduction, product discontinuations, allocations


Skills and Experience

  • Ability to build strong customer relationships
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and interface with internal and external customers across various levels of the organization
  • Experience in customer service and/or inventory management an asset
  • Knowledge of supply planning/forecasting systems; Experience with SAP an asset
  • Advanced excel skills an asset
  • Degree in supply chain, business management, or related field

  • Strong writing skills, and communicate clearly and effectively to all levels of the company
