We are looking for an experienced VP of Quality Assurance who will be responsible for leading the product safety, quality control, quality assurance and regulatory compliance efforts for Athletic Greens. Quality is paramount to our brand and customer experience and we have an absolutely no compromises approach to everything relating to the quality of our products globally. The VP of Quality Assurance is a critical position at Athletic Greens to ensure we hold ourselves, and our partners to the absolute highest of standards.

  • Lead the quality function for Athletic Greens.
  • Create the quality strategy and roadmap to continuously improve our quality practices and efforts.
  • Build and maintain our stability and product testing protocols.
  • Partner with our Customer Happiness team on training and development of materials to manage customer questions and feedback.
  • Partner with the product development team on formulation assessments, vendor assessments, etc.
  • Responsible for the global compliance of our products sold across multiple geographies.
  • Responsible for the quality output of our contract manufacturing and packaging partners.
  • Design and implement modern food quality verification and traceability systems and processes.
  • Implement regulatory compliance and quality audits of all critical vendors across our supply chain.
  • Responsible for FSMA, FDVP, GMP, FDA and NSF compliance.
  • Partner with our Supply Chain teams on manufacturing expansion efforts and lead the quality verification and sign off.
  • Partner with our legal team to assist with claim substantiation and label accuracy globally.
  • Implement data gathering, tracking and reporting for quality and product safety to identify trends and areas for improvement.

  • At least 5 years at a VP level in quality for a food or other digestible product business.
  • At least 10 years at a manager level or above in food quality or FDA/GMP environments.
  • Demonstrates the ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions and solve problems immediately.
  • Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally.
  • A visionary leader with impeccable presentation skills and team management skills.
  • Experience and ability to comfortably present to executives and board members as required.
  • Exposure to food safety and regulatory compliance requirements outside of North America.
