We are looking for a self-motivated, experienced Senior Creative Director who is passionate about pushing the creative vision for a rapidly growing company forward and helping achieve awareness on a global level. This role will lead the creative team and be responsible for the development and execution of best in class creative for a brand that intersects health, sport and culture. This position will work with stakeholders across all functions of the business and should have exceptional communication, organizational, and collaborative skills.

The creative director should have a thorough understanding of design, conceptual thinking, creative problem solving, with a pulse on culture, technology, social media, current design languages and a deep understanding of the AG customer.

This role reports to the VP of Creative.

  • Work with the VP of Creative on pushing the creative vision for Athletic Greens forward.
  • Lead the creative development for multiple channels on a variety of projects and media, ranging from photography, motion, lifestyle content to product innovation and digital applications.
  • Develop concepts and creative strategies that fulfill objectives of brand brief and business goals.
  • Lead a team of creatives, designers, copywriters, agencies, photographers, directors etc to bring the creative vision to life and ensure holistic creative excellence.
  • Execute these ideas and drive production to final delivery of assets.
  • Set priorities, creative assignments and track development of team.
  • Work with cross functional teams to ensure quality of creative on all fronts (performance marketing, partnerships, activations etc).
  • Review and approve production stages of creative execution.
  • Present and communicate creative solutions to leadership and a variety of stakeholders.
  • Manage timelines and budgets with the production and Ops teams.
  • Continue to search for new talent, partners, agencies, studios and collaborators.

  • 10+ years of creative direction, design direction experience in a highly functioning environment. In-house brand or high level agency experience is preferred.
  • 3-4 years of experience in people management.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a consistent "can-do" attitude.
  • Proven experience with leading the entire design process (project scope and time planning, design steps, production/execution of design solution, pre-press processes).
  • Thrives on experimentation, pushing the boundaries, and trying new things.
  • Strong storytelling and conceptual development skills. Knows how to articulate ideas through writing as well as visual references.
  • Understands how to collaborate with key stakeholders, take feedback and deliver based on that feedback.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proven ability to manage multiple work streams at once.
  • Strong interpersonal, written communication, and organizational skills.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating strong creative thinking across multiple outputs (social, retail, digital etc).
  • Expert in design software (Adobe Suite, Keynote, 3D knowledge is added bonus).
  • Passion for sports, culture, music, design.
