AMASS is a fast-growing startup that designs thoughtful botanical solutions. At our Los Angeles Arts District HQ and factory, we apply principles of high design and holistic ethnobotany to the drinks and personal care space. From botanical spirits and aperitifs, to functional wellness tonics and body care products, we make premium botanics for modern life.

AMASS is looking for a mid level Key Account Manager with 3-5 years in direct alcohol sales to build affinity and sales for AMASS in Southern California. You will be responsible for education and persuasion of key trade, consumers, and the media. This role may involve travel.

The ideal candidate must be ready to hit the ground running, thrives in a fast-paced startup environment, and is excited to contribute to a committed, enthusiastic team.

  • The KAM is responsible for building positive, credible, lasting customer relationships based on trust that deliver measurable results
  • Discover and identify customer business growth needs
  • Develop a customer business growth plan for each account
  • Analyze data and insights to increase sales, grow customer business, and better achieve objectives
  • Build a pipeline of selling opportunities to drive incremental sales above base business
  • Regularly and consistently pre-plan account visits with an agenda, service purpose, and selling opportunities
  • Visit accounts regularly, capture visit notes, and build visit plans considering previous visit outcomes
  • Maintain deep knowledge of AMASS products and correctly present and position them in each account
  • Propose selling solutions to each customer and win the sale using consultative selling skills
  • Adapt the selling approach based on each customer’s buying styles and individual business needs
  • Be knowledgeable and experienced in all accounts staying current with what competitors are offering and how AMASS products are positioned relative to the competition
  • Analyze brand performance, brand competitiveness, and product trends in the marketplace and develop strategies for assigned brand based on research and analysis
  • Secure new back bar and menu placements and increase brand presence in key influential accounts
  • Document and maintain account- and customer-specific information in Salesforce
