About The Position
The Trade Marketing Manager is a key component for the Company sales team to exceed the case goals and distribution. Responsibility covers all channels of business, in both on- and off-premise.  This position will work out of the office located in the Northern Chicago Suburbs
 
Responsibilities
  • Help create, manage & execute a range of Trade Marketing Programs to drive brand visibility & commercial goals for our brands.
  • Responsible for updating sales teams covering program announcements, program timing, etc.
  • National account and major chain program accomplishments, communicate upcoming events.
  • Communicate new / updated artwork availability, sales material availability, etc.
  • Work closely with the Company sales teams to ensure selling materials are up to date with current programs, images, and necessary sales information.
  • Coordinate the development of program sell sheets for all programs.
  • Inform sales team of available POS and promotional materials.
  • Develop actual programs and promotion calendar for sales teams – value added packaging, merchandising programs and other sales related tactics.
  • Allocate and track programming materials to sales teams.
  • Lead new product sales team needs. 
  • Forecast POS / Promotional support needs.
  • Track point-of-sale trends and stay up to date on latest technology, designs and other interesting materials.
  • Work with the sales teams to forecast POS material needs.
  • Work with sales teams to create fact-based sales data, retail POS strategy, Marketing program overview, and other sales team needs.
  • Manage national and regional coupon / rebate programs and rollout including rules and legality by state.
  • Update all brand merchandising / POS catalogs.
  • Develop promotional programming for sales teams on a national and regional level.
  • Ensure all holiday themed sell sheets are up to date and produced in a timely manner.
  • Keep selling materials up to date (example – updated figures and sell sheets / paper POS in general).
  • Determine case forecast for new size extension, brand extensions and new products
  • Ensure and track all distributor purchase orders for value added items 
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree - with concentration in Marketing/Advertising preferred.
  • 5+ years experience working in Trade / Customer / Shopper Marketing in the Consumer Goods space 
  • High preference for experience within the wine and spirits industry
  • Copywriting and editing skills are a huge plus.
  • Knowledge of Three Tier System and State Liquor Laws preferred: prior agency management experience a plus.
  • Developing brand strategy and applying it across the channel, including local and regional marketing.
