Our brands are well-established, nationally awarded premium to super-premium+ leaders in the regional wine and whiskey markets. We are seeking a Sales Manager to join and strengthen our team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing sales programs designed to maximize the sale and availability of our brands with existing and prospective on-premise (primarily) and retail accounts.
 
As a Sales Manager, you will develop and maintain positive relationships with customers and prospective clients, ensuring future sales and repeat business. Your articulate and always positive, convincing communication skills will be essential as you introduce, pitch, and activate brand sales, resolve concerns, and submit orders while completing all required documentation. You will play a pivotal role in the Sales and Branding of premium to super-premium+ products by promoting and raising awareness of and affinity for our brands, presenting Company programs to on-premise and retail customers, and providing everyday support (programming!) to accounts as needed.

Your responsibilities will include driving volume, awareness, revenues, programming, and achieving product availability (POD) goals across the portfolio. You will display your strong personal selling, time management, and public speaking skills while demonstrating effective AlcBev activation techniques. 

Crucial aspects of this role include managing personal business expenses and maintaining satisfactory attendance, including timeliness. You will be responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental, and safety regulatory considerations.

 What You Will Need and What To Expect:
  • Must live in or close to Philadelphia City. 
  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred, or a HS diploma plus 4 years of AlcBev and/or CPG and F&B sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Candidate is required to have a valid US-issued driver's license, a safe driving record, and a reliable vehicle at the time of hire.
  • Required to travel by automobile and/or public transportation to perform job duties.
  • Required to obtain a liquor license as required by state/locality, if applicable. 
  • Weekly responsibilities will include one day in your office activating your week and/or training and/or distillery and winery visits. 4 days per week in the field calling daily on 6-8 new and existing customers, completion of stated KPIs, sales and programming goals, and daily entry into your MS Office Suite and our BevAlc CRM. 
  • Occasional nights and weekends are required. 
  • Required to lift and move up to 40 pounds.
  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 10% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
  • Must be 21 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable. 

What You Will Set You Apart:
  • Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a Marketing or Business Management concentration plus 2 years of winery and/or distillery sales, distributor sales and/or direct-to-consumer marketing, and/or brand marketing experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Previous BevAlc sales experience with a record of increased, targeted POD, increased case volumes and incremental sales dollars, and experiential programming.
  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office products at a competent level (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Skilled in the use of CRM software on mobile devices
Compensation:
  • Compensation: A base salary plus commissions and incentives for a range of $60,000 - $76,500 is reasonable in the first year.
  • Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the sales experience, knowledge, education, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, alignment with market goals, issued KPIs, and revenue achievement.
