Job Summary
The Brand Ambassador serves as a dedicated brand resource focused on growing the Writers’ Tears, Disaronno & Zucca Rabarbaro brands in the designated market. Through the direction of the N.J. based U.S. brand team and in collaboration with distributor partners the Brand Ambassador’s mission is to increase trial and brand awareness among consumers and trade.  The Brand Ambassador will also manage a strong on-line presence through the use of social media platforms, interaction with designated market media outlets and key influencers. The Brand Ambassador will serve as the spokesperson for the brands in both trade and consumer media platforms.

The Brand Ambassador will be looked upon as an expert in the Disaronno International portfolio and in particular an expert in the Irish whiskey category.  This individual will lead the brand’s efforts in attracting the interest and adoption of local cocktail and whiskey accounts. He/she will conduct regular meetings and trainings with the distributor and trade to strengthen Disaronno International’s position within these organizations.

Primary Responsibilities/Activities:
Relationship Building, Sales, Trade Engagement, Event Execution
  • Using existing and newly developed relationships help build the brands in influential, high volume cocktail and strong neighborhood accounts both On and Off Premise (80/20)
  • Increase drinking occasions for Disaronno Originale by inserting it into new cocktails and new occasions with the goal of making it a 12-month brand
  • Grow distribution of Writers’ Tears and Zucca Rabarbaro
  • Ensure Disaronno International brands inclusion in local and regional events by building lasting trade and consumer relationships within targeted accounts and designated neighborhoods
  • Support national initiatives in local market
  • Actively participate in brand led industry events including Tales of the Cocktail, BarConvent and others
  • Identify key market influencers and stakeholders, establish relationships and develop a network of brand evangelists
  • Support the distributor's efforts to achieve brand desired results
  • Actively participate in brand and distributor led sales blitzes
  • Work with national accounts team on drink strategy/design and execution in designated area and accounts
  • Plan and execute  trade-focused events that will create brand awareness, encourage trial, build a following, and assist in development in brands’ social media bases
  • Represent the brands via participation in bartender/trade organizations
  • Leverage brand & category expertise to assist in consumer facing activities targeting key influencers and adopters
Category and Brand Trainings
  • Serve as brand/category expert and provide master class level training at the distributor, consumer and account level
  • Engage with trade through brand sampling, education, and training
Consumer, Trade and Competitive Insights
  • Foster, maintain and share expert knowledge on competitor brands
  • Best practice sharing
  • Provide consumer/channel/competitive insights and communicate local market intelligence and competitive information
Administrative Responsibilities
  • Create and manage budgets for all individually developed programs. Manage ongoing allocation of program funds
  • Effectively forecast and allocate program resources against annual brand calendar
  • Ensure timely submission of required administrative deliverables including recaps and insights
Minimum Requirements:
  • Five plus years of experience within the spirits category.  Irish Whiskey experience a must
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%
  • Entrepreneurial minded
  • Creative thinker with an ability to innovate around the brand
  • Excellent public speaking, presentation and communication skills
  • Good Microsoft Office Suite skills
  • Able to collaborate and develop and maintain effective working relationships with all members of extended sales and brand teams
  • Sound financial skills and experience managing a budget
  • Willingness to work unconventional hours (late nights and weekends)
  • Strong networking skills and ability to build and maintain relationships within accounts, communities and organizations
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License, reliable transportation, and be able to drive/travel through the designated market area

  • Ability to pick up and transport Point of Sale (POS), event equipment, and product
