The world’s largest cannabis dispensary opened in Las Vegas, Nevada on November 1. Spanning 40,000 square feet, Planet 13 sits just adjacent to the four-mile Las Vegas Strip and boasts both a massive marketplace and an entertainment complex. Here are some fast facts about this new mega-dispensary.

1. It’s Still Growing
Currently, Planet 13 only utilizes 40,000 square feet, but the actual size of the building is a whopping 112,000 square feet — meaning there is plenty of room to grow. With just enough funding to complete phase one, co-CEOs Robert Grosebeck and Larry Scheffler decided to proceed with development, confident that profits would quickly turn over enough money to begin work on the next two phases of construction.

Future plans to utilize the remaining space include adding a coffee shop, a tasting room for cannabis-infused beer and wine, a food court, and (if it’s legalized) a space to consume marijuana on-site. So while Planet 13 seems like a marijuana smoker’s paradise now, it’s only going to get better.

2. It’s a 24/7 Operation
The dispensary itself takes up 15,000 square feet and is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. There are two varieties of cannabis available for purchase: Planet 13’s self-named recreational brand, and their medical marijuana brand called Medizin. The anticipated 2,000 daily customers can buy flowers, vape cartridges, and edibles utilizing the 42 cash registers. Dozens of employees, whose sole job is to ensure customers have the best possible experience, are also on the ground to assist.

With the ultimate goal of attracting 5,000 visitors daily from the 55 million tourists who descend upon Las Vegas annually, interested visitors should try and visit sooner rather than later. Planet 13’s dispensary is anticipated to become more crowded than the Mall of America.

3. It’s a True Las Vegas Experience
Las Vegas has never been a city with a reputation for doing things subtly, and Planet 13 is no exception. The dispensary doubles as a giant entertainment complex. Even before setting foot inside the building, customers are greeted by thirteen 15-foot-tall LED lotus flowers. The lotus flowers can be controlled by visitors, making them an interactive piece of art and not just a decoration.

Once inside, guests can watch an ariel orb show above the dispensary floor, or follow the interactive LED floor (which has a host of different displays and variables) deeper into the complex. There’s also an interactive laser graffiti experience, where guests can create their own designs with “spray cans” on a dedicated wall. The complex boasts 72 TV screens and a projected 3D visual experience.

4. They Deliver
Unable to make it to the galactic experience? That’s okay — Planet 13 delivers all of their products to customers who live within a certain radius via BlackbirdGo. Orders placed on the app will be delivered within two hours or less to a residential or business address by a driver who carries a medical marijuana agent card. It’s the perfect solution for those who want to partake in Planet 13’s offerings without weathering the crowds.
