Position Summary
Position is responsible for working with the MFG Director and Operations team on developing accurate standard costs.  Identifying improvements and streamlining processes related to the Plant.  Assists in Developing R&O Manufacturing variances including dry/wet and labor.  Works with Operations on labor analysis for identifying root cause for exceptions to standards. Ensures all transfer pricing for Imports are costed and applicable excise tax calculated. Responsible for all Capex reporting and analysis.  Scheduling monthly and weekly Capex meetings to review updated files.   Assisting MFG Director on all Capex group reporting including ROIs.
 
This position is located in Fort Smith Arkansas.
 
Responsibilities
  • Work with MFG Director and Operations to develop standard costs.  Ensure all costs are updated and reviewed for accuracy.   Corroborative with MFG Director and Operations to develop the Production budget.   Ensure all items have costs and excise tax as needed.
  • Capex Reporting for Fort Smith –Projects are reviewed for completion. Group reporting is compiled with Operations and submitted timely.
  • Work with Operations on identifying cost saving initiatives for all areas of the manufacturing facility including new production equipment.  Collaborative effort to compile ROIs on Capital expenditures.
  • Review of Manufacturing variances and assists MFG Director and Procurement team on risk & opportunity monthly reporting.  
  • Special projects as assigned including being active in continuous improvement projects.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required;   
  • Experience/Background: At least five years accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing and cost
  • Technical Functional Skills:  Excel, Power Point, Word
