About The Position
- Manage the Boston market to secure and maintain distribution in targeted retail with focus in the off-premise accounts, chains, independent grocery, and beverage centers.
- Secure and maintain distribution in targeted high-end on-premise local hotels and restaurant groups.
- Prepare, make and follow-up on sales calls with target accounts.
- Build Relationships with wholesaler sales teams and train them on brand objectives, features/benefits and account maintenance procedures for our brands
- Build relationships with key store managers and buyers to maintain distribution for key SKUs.
- Responsibly and effectively managing trade spending for maximum results and within budget
- Achieve sales targets and manage and track sales to plan.
Experience and Capabilities Required:
- BA/BS - Business, Marketing or equivalent experience in the beer /beverage industry
- 5+ years of experience in the beverage industry, preferably in the beer industry
- Knowledge of the local market and previous market management experience
- Must reside in the Boston area
- Excellent written, oral and presentation skills
- Good technical skills, MS office, understanding of and utilization of sales data, information-based selling concepts.
- Ability to travel with reliable transportation
