Job Summary:
The Woodinville Whiskey Co. Brand Ambassador - Northern California & Oregon serves as a dedicated brand resource to help build the Woodinville Whiskey Co. brand throughout Northern California and Oregon.  The mission of the Brand Ambassador is to increase visibility and promote brand awareness around consumers and trade, serve as brand/category/mixology expert, host whiskey fairs, and provide master class level training at the distributor, consumer and account level.

Primary Responsibilities:

Relationship Building, Sales and Advocacy
  • Work with local On & Off Premise Managers, local Distributor teams, and Portfolio Specialists to gain distribution, volume sales, and cocktail placements.
  • Educate & train local Distributor and Portfolio Specialist teams.
  • Support brand initiatives.
  • Identify key influencers and whiskey gatekeepers; build lasting relationships.
Trade Engagement
  • Represent the brand via participation of local bartender/trade organizations.
  • Identify and grow key whiskey accounts 
  • Engage bartenders and conduct formal trainings and formal/informal industry events
Consumer Engagement
  • Generate trial and retrial of the Woodinville brand from target consumers across various touch points (whiskey fairs, sampling programs, brand events, etc.)
  • Host whiskey dinners and any consumer facing event.
  • Identify opportunities across California to expand our consumer base through targeted recruitment initiatives
  • Be the voice of the brand!
Internal Advocacy
  • Champion the brand within the MH USA organization.
  • Collaborate closely with local market teams, visiting regional offices, executing trainings and seminars, presenting at GSMs, and ensuring his/her work is highly visible with key stakeholders at market level.
  • Attend and proactively contribute to quarterly MH USA Brand Team offsite meetings and annual Brand Ambassador Summit(s).
Media Amplification
  • Act as the face of the brand at major industry and PR brand events.
  • Use traditional and social media to maximize reach and increase impact of the brand.
  • Identify and build relationships with key influencers (social media, lifestyle and trade media) to drive PR.
Administrative Responsibilities
  • Ensure timely submission of required administrative reporting.
  • Budget management
Job Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in the brown spirits category, with strong understanding of the production process.
  • Self-starter with the ability to be work independently, while also collaborating closely with a geographically-dispersed team.   
  • Bartender experience and existing network within the trade required.
  • Clear understanding of the three-tier system of alcohol distribution.
  • Social media savvy.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills; experience dealing with press/media is a plus
  • Availability for domestic travel 80% of the time.
  • Willingness to work evening hours and weekends; when needed.
  • Language: English fluency 
  • Valid CA Driver's License
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift weight in excess of 40 lbs.
  • Ability to carry weight in excess of 40 lbs.
  • Ability to sit/stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to pick up and transport Point of Sale (POS), event equipment, and product.
Financial Details
  • Annual Salary of $60,000-$70,000
  • Annual Bonus Opportunity: 15% of Annual Salary
  • Full Medical, Dental, and Matching 401k (50% up to 7% of Salary)
