Pernod Ricard currently has an open Bottling Manager position in our Fort Smith, Arkansas distillery.
Our Bottling Manager reports to the Director of Finished Goods and is responsible for managing the daily activities of the Bottling Department- production performance, personnel special projects, and short-term planning in accordance with weekly operational plans.  You will be tasked with analyzing production downtime data and creating value action plans to address deficiencies.

 Key Responsibilities:
  • Personnel Management (Effectiveness) providing direction and leadership for up to 7 salaried workers, 90 hourly and 30- 50 temporary employees
  • Develop department culture that fosters teamwork, fast pace training, effective communication, accountability, and high individual performance culture
  • Utilize training matrix to ensure all employees are trained on company policies, safety programs, regulatory standards and ISO work instructions as defined by company standards.
  • Mentor salaried leadership, through creation of development plans tailored to individual employees, towards continuous improvement
  • Production Performance Encourage and explore feasibility of world class manufacturing techniques in pursuit of continuous improvement
  • Participate in research and technical decisions regarding equipment purchases, quality capabilities, efficiency capability studies
  • Monitor production performance measures to ensure department is performing at expected levels and react accordingly
  • Establish production quality standards, ensuring details work instructions, quality checks and resources are available to meet standard
  • Budgetary Performance – Solicit and implement cost reduction and waste elimination initiatives form hourly and supervisory workforce
  • Participate in the development of short-range capital and M&R projects to ensure department continues improved production performance, cost reduction and high-quality production
  • Monthly review of actual costs to identify critical cost drivers and implement control procedures
  • Enhance and encourage employee involvement in daily production processes by listening, educating and quantifying their ideas for improvement
  • Special Projects – Support new product initiatives as developed, ensure all required resources are addressed and obtained to ensure successful product launches 
  • Ensure production employees are equipped with appropriate equipment training, quality standards and customer guidelines as required
  • Special Programs – Achieve key legislation and technical standards
  • TTB/US Customs Compliance ISO 9002 Certification, ISO 14000 Certification, PJSAS 18000 (Safety Certification)
  • AAP/EEO Compliance, HACCO- GMP Certification, COSRI Achievement, pay for knowledge PMP’s – KPI’s
The Bottling Manger partners with internal departments including: Director of Bottling, Operations Planning Director, Director of Engineering, Director of Quality Assurance and Human Resources Manager
 
Experience and Education:
  • BSBA or Industrial Engineering or related field, or related experience. 
  • MBA a plus
  • 5 + years in a manufacturing environment with various leadership roles and responsibilities
  • Project management skills
  • Strong analytical/problem solving skills
  • Previous budgeting and financial responsibility
  • Total production management including balancing quality and quantity
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Long range goal setting experience
  • Adequately versed in most common office and production and inventory control software programs including MS office, JD Edwards
