About The Position

Job Summary
The primary objective of the Account Executive role is to achieve retail sales plan and meet all financial targets in partnership within the assigned retailers; Department Store, Specialty and Ulta. This role provides support, extends partnership, presents solutions and responds to retailer needs. This partnership is inclusive of coaching and developing all artists representing the brand, as well as store teams, in order to provide optimal customer service and proficiency in field. 
Essential Job Duties
To produce the following results in partnership with the respective retailer:
  • Achieve targeted sales plan in all accounts.  
  • Achieve all targeted event sales plans in all accounts
  • Achieve KPI objectives in all focus categories.
  • Achieve 85% sell thru or higher on all limited edition items
  • Build and cultivate in-store relationships and maintain a strong in-store presence in Top Doors
  • Strategically plan and analyze seasonal/ yearly business to ensure profitability with a top volume door focus
  • Plan, prepare, and execute successful events conducive to each retailers customer base
  • Style flex to the needs of the business and adjust strategy execution accordingly.
  • Routinely communicate with the RD in all aspects of the business. Provide valuable input including initiatives and innovative ideas to improve business in a proactive and timely manner
  • Ensure consistency of NARS image and uphold counter and gondola appearance to schematic standards
  • Maintain appropriate coverage in each location to increase profitability (DSS and Ulta)
  • Consistently recruit and hire top talent while maintaining a 30% or lower turnover rate
  • Identify and develop high potential artists and managers to obtain a talent bench
  • Maximize sell-in and business opportunities in each door
To service the retailer by:
  • Responding to and satisfying the needs and requests of retailer quickly, professionally and efficiently
  • Conduct regular touch bases and planning meetings with retailer as well as business managers to review overall business in order to maintain strong retail partnerships, accountability, and profitability
  • Setting the highest service standards by working in store with staff to set appropriate examples
  • Bringing the spirit of partnership to all interactions
  • Always striving to help and provide solutions
  • Ensure brand partner visits are scheduled to work with Beauty Advisors on product knowledge, demonstration, as well as selling tips
To promote the company in the following ways:
  • Be the brand Ambassador.  Present NARS in a positive light and promote the brand at every opportunity.  Build a positive reputation and perpetuate a sense of goodwill around the brand.
  • Adhere to company protocols and uphold image standards for all Visuals and Merchandising
  • Implement corporate marketing programs following predetermined guidelines
To perform the following operational functions:
  • Send weekly recaps to RD on business and plan of action for the week ahead with a top volume door focus
  • Inspect damages and issue return labels on a regular basis
  • Keep month-to-date and year-to-date numbers current and cumulative
  • Recap all promotional activity immediately following event
  • Submit monthly schedule to manager prior to its commencement
  • Maintain a cohesive monthly schedule that aligns with territory volume, top volume door focus, as well as business needs. This includes working a minimum of 1 to 2 weekends a month
  • Maintain a cohesive monthly freelance schedule to meet each retailers needs and increase profitability
  • Budget/Plan and spend within limits of allocated budget- freelance and T&E
  • Track budget expenditures
  • Send in accurate travel and expense reports with receipts monthly
To execute the responsibilities of the role by:
  • Effectively managing all operational components in order for the territory to run smoothly
  • Circulating the territory to ensure high presence and visibility
  • Driving business forward by way of full support and implementation of all programs
    • Previous prestige cosmetic Account Executive experience preferred
    • 2-3 years of retail management experience in high volume locations
    • Strong interpersonal and people-management skills
    • Proven successful track record in previous sales related roles
    • Demonstrated ability to perform with high competency both Sales Responsibilities and Operational Effectiveness
    • Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook Power Point
